RECEPTIONIST
Michelle
The receptionist is Michelle, who has experience as a medical office assistant for 4+ years. Prior to working with Sun Health, she worked at this location for her father, now-retired Dr. David Ryan, and also at a local floral shop. In addition to administrative duties, she promotes a healing atmosphere through oceanic décor, tending to the garden and plants, and caring for our saltwater fish friends in clinic.
LIFESTYLE
Michelle's interests include camping, sea shell collecting, and watching her dad's band (The Double Wides) play gigs.
MANAGER
Danny
The clinic manager is Danny, who trained at United Education Institute and has been a medical assistant 21+ years. He obtains vital signs and coordinates testing and referrals.
Danny is also a fitness coach trained at National Federation of Professional Trainers so feel free to discuss your fitness strategy with him.
LIFESTYLE
Danny's interests include strength training, running, and spending time with his family.
DOCTOR
Doc Sunny
Sunita Shailam, M.D.
The physician goes by Doc, Doc Sunny, or Sunny. She completed a Baccalaureate of Science (Biology-Sociology) at Union College, a Doctorate of Medicine at Albany Medical College, and a Family Medicine residency at Emory University. The doctor has 29+ years experience, is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine *, and is on the medical staff at Scripps Mercy Hospital.
